At the avant-garde of Regenerative Design is a methodology called the Living Building Challenge, that conceives of buildings as living organisms, and seeks to emulate nature in how a building uses and interacts with land, energy, air and water. This is by far the most rigorous and far-reaching process by which to make buildings, but many are adopting the strategies, and several buildings have been designed to meet this high bar.
