“Eagle Rising”, inspired by Golden Eagles nesting on the site, is a green home near Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. It incorporates insulated concrete forms, passive solar heating, daylighting, solar shading, radiant heat, natural ventilation, natural materials, and bold, octagonal and curving geometries. It has been published in several magazines, including EcoStructure, and won “Best Custom Home” and “Best Overall Project” in the ICF Builder Magazine competition, as well as the annual calendar competition for the manufacturer of the ICF Blocks.
